{"id":60,"date":"2015-09-10T14:34:24","date_gmt":"2015-09-10T14:34:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/opencoworking.org\/news\/?page_id=60"},"modified":"2025-07-09T02:53:33","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T02:53:33","slug":"values","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/opencoworking.org\/news\/about\/values\/","title":{"rendered":"Values"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Open Coworking was\u00a0founded\u00a0out of a desire to defend and advance the core values that\u00a0ensure the coworking movement continues to be one that best serves the needs of the people it was formed to help.<\/p>\n<h3>The core values of coworking are:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Community<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Openness<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Collaboration<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Accessibility<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Sustainability<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><b>Our commitments<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to embodying and upholding the core values of coworking, we have also made\u00a0commitments of our own:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>We\u2019ll be open.<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> What we do and how we do it will be shared, as much as we reasonably can, with those who are interested in participating and with the general public.\n<p><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>We\u2019ll be neutral.<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> So much of the power and beauty of coworking reside in its freedom to be interpreted differently by each person who finds it.
